Well, my trip got delayed, so the extra for today could be something requiring a scanner... I have been meaning to put together a map for a while, so here it is.
There will be another map with a different set of information in the next few days, as an "extra" extra.
This map isn't the entirety of the "known world", but it does include the whole area that is considered to be "safe".
There are a few different layers, some well defined and others not, as you travel away from the capitol city of Cheban.
The inner section, shown on the next map, is the "protected zone" where were activity is strictly regulated... no packs/flocks/etc may enter to hunt, or the council will come after them.
The next layer isn't really named, but has stable weather patterns, etc. This layer is about the size of this map.
The next tends to be known as the outskirts. The weather is a bit more erratic, the wildlife more dangerous, and there are rumors of magical anomalies. However, this is where the iron and copper mines are, so there are outposts with mages to help out as best they can.
If you go beyond the outskirts, you leave the "known world". If you go an extra 200 km off the edge of the map in any given direction, the council makes no guarantees that you won't just fall over dead, or have any number of horrifying things happen to you. It is generally not known to be a pleasant place, even millennia after the cataclysm. Don't go without powerful mages or a lot of experience in harsh environments.
